The Gurkha Beast is a rare limited production blend with only 1,000 boxes produced annually.
Just as its name indicates, the Gurkha Beast is a massive 6.5 x 58, allowing for several hours of smoking time with a large ring gauge to ensure the cigar never burns too hot. Medium to full-bodied and full-flavored, the Beast draws much of its flavor from the aged Costa Rican Maduro wrapper that covers the cigar. This wrapper is accentuated by a tri-country filler from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Columbia.
The Gurkha Beast is yet another successful blend from a company that makes some of the rarest and most unique cigars on the market. Their use of some of the world’s best aged tobacco puts them at the top of the industry and with limited production runs, each cigar is rolled with precision and detail, ensuring a strict level of quality control. This will not be a regular item from Gurkha and these will sell out fast. Don’t miss your chance to try this exquisite blend.

The Gurkha lineup of cigars is a considerably lengthy list, so you never know what to expect from one to the other. But, I’ve heard rave reviews about the Beast so I just had to try one. This cigar had great taste and even draw. It lived up to the Gurkha name. If money was no issue, I’d buy these bad boys by the box and the Beasts come in boxes of 35 cigars, not the 20-25 you’re used to.
Appearance :

Big cigar with a dark and silky wrapper. Earthy pre-light aroma with an easy draw. Rich, bold textures throughout, right up until the end.
Construction :

The construction of the cigar was top notch. This cigar had an even burn and a long, flaky white ash. Fairly consistent with only a slight build in body strength throughout. Finished medium to full with a long, dry finish. I smoked the cigar pretty much to the nub and the smoke was very smooth all the way to the end.
Flavor :

The Gurkha beast has a strong flavor, but not too strong, consisting of mostly wood and spice. Great cigar, lovely flavor that really kicks in after about 1/4 of the cigar. A lot of robust and slightly spicy smoke with a smooth character.
Value :

Worth every penny. This cigar burned evenly to the end, never had to relight, and not once did it taste bitter. Also, give yourself 2 1/2 hours to enjoy this one.
Overall Rating :

The Gurkha Beast has got to be one of the best cigars I’ve smoked. The draw was great, the ash long and tight. The smoke had a great aroma, the taste was spicy and woody. All in all, a GREAT smoke and well worth the money.
