Smooth with a robust earthy flavor and medium to full-body, the Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 Silver is one of the best selling Torano lines.
Another great cigar from a legendary cigar family, the Toranos have consistently produced some of the world’s finest cigars since 1916. For four generations, the family has established themselves in every major cigar producing country in Central America. Their success is easy to see in the quality and flavor of the cigars they roll. As one of the world’s largest boutique cigar makers, they have been instrumental in the success of the cigar industry.
The Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 Silver is the second line extension for the Exodus name. The secret to the blend is in the filler where it uses aged tobaccos that hail from Mexico, Honduras, and Costa Rica. This enticing three-country blend is then complemented with a Cuban seed Criollo wrapper that gives this medium to full-bodied cigar a pleasant citrus cedar and nut finish. Strong ratings and excellent consistency from box to box have made this the best selling cigar made by the Toranos.

Appearance :

The wrapper was a medium brown color with small veins throughout the length of the cigar. The feel was firm with a slight oily residue left on my fingers after touching it. The cap was small and I worried about clipping too much with a cutter. So I used a punch, which was no problem and the result was clean and easy. Pleasant pre-light aroma.
Construction :

The draw was easy and consistent throughout. Smoke was abundant, thick and creamy from the initial draw to the last. The wrapper stayed intact although the band was glued to the wrapper and was very difficult to remove. The cigar felt nice and firm throughout the smoke.
Flavor :

This is a medium-bodied cigar with a smooth and a full flavor profile without any harshness. As I smoked more into the cigar I could taste the body of the cigar begin to wind up and become more flavorful. In the last third of the cigar I was getting some subtle peppery flavors along with an increase in the overall body of the cigar. Throughout the flavor changes the base flavor was very consistent and did not seem to change much at all. Well balanced with a moderate finish.
Burn :

This cigar lasted just over an hour, with a slow and even burn throughout. The ash was pale grey with black bands and firm overall. Never had to re-light and the smoke felt cool and comfortable in the mouth.
Overall Rating :

An excellent smoke from beginning to end – rich mild tobacco aromas with a balanced body. Surprisingly smooth, medium-body cigar. Nice, consistent draw throughout. The price is mid-range at $7.00 a stick. But, if you purchase by the box, it has the makings to be a nice everyday cigar.
