601 Blue Box Pressed Maduro Robusto Cigar

601 Blue Box Pressed Maduro Robusto Cigar Review

601 Blue Box Pressed Maduro RobustoThe 601 Blue Box-Pressed Maduro is a phenomenal blend created by Don Pepin Garcia and is the first cigar he produced utilizing the box-pressed shape. On the outside, a dark Nicaraguan maduro glistens with oils and boasts a mouthwatering, toothy texture. Inside, a robust blend of aged Cuban-seed long-leaf tobaccos marries to promote a rich, full-bodied flavor layered with satisfying flavors.

The 601 Blue Box-Pressed Maduro is an excellent choice when searching for a rich, full-bodied cigar that tantalizes the palate with a natural sweetness. Bold and complex, this cigar is packed tightly with Cuban-seed Nicaraguan long fillers, producing a thick and creamy smoke that offers a spicy-sweet aroma.

The Nicaraguan maduro wrapper adds a natural sweetness to the blend, creating a perfectly balanced cigar as the box-pressed shape allows for a slow and even burn. The 601 Blue Box-Pressed Maduro offers a long finish and is an excellent choice after a hearty meal.

The 601 Blue is a beautifully constructed cigar with it’s dark maduro box pressed wrapper. Zero imperfections, zero veins – silky smooth to the touch. No problems using v-cutter to cut the cap. WOW was all I could say after the initial puff – big strong flavors, full-bodied indeed. You can taste the heat after every puff – full of spice and pepper.

The draw was excellent and incredibly smooth – you could see the smoke releasing from the cap after each puff. And each puff will deliver a big cloud of white smoke. Can’t get over how enjoyable the taste is – it lingers on the palate just long enough until you take your next puff. No flavor change transitioning into the second third of the stick. The draw and burn remain consistent – ash held firm for ~2-inches before I tapped off.

Overall, this is a must-try cigar for anyone who craves a great tasting cigar on the full-bodied side. Got this stick as part of a sampler, but it has the potential to become your go-to cigar. Not cheap, by any means, as it’s close to $10 per stick but you could probably get them cheaper buying by the box or part of a sampler.
