The dark Brazilian wrapper gives this cigar a beautiful look and feel. Only noticeable blemish was one long vein running down the side. No soft spots, but oily and smooth to the touch. Capped this bad boy with my handy v-cutter and was ready to fire up. On the initial puff, I was greeted to a knockout punch of spice and peppers. The taste was full-bodied to say the least – big, bold flavors.
The draw was excellent as you can see billows of white smoke during each puff. The burn was consistent as well but did notice the ash falling off on it’s own every 1 1/4 inch. Great tasting cigar and the aroma is inviting. You do notice a flavor change towards the middle of the stick from full-bodied to medium with some sweetness. The flavor change, in no way, detracts from the enjoyment.
Overall, I liked the CAO ‘VR’ Moby cigar a lot. The maduro wrapper combined with the Nicaraguan/Mexican filler culminates into a nice balance of flavors. The draw is effortless and the burn is flawless. This cigar would complement perfectly after a hearty meal.
