5 Vegas Series ‘A’ is the stronger, more full-flavored side of 5 Vegas. Expertly crafted in Honduras, Series ‘A’ packs a lot of flavor into an economically priced cigar. The flavorful bouquet includes heavy doses of toasty earthiness served up in a rich but ultimately smooth fashion. The aftertaste is long and pleasant, featuring an enjoyable sweetness that relaxes your palate.
5 Vegas Series ‘A’ brings a fuller bodied maduro to the brand that has become one of the most popular cigars on the market. The Costa Rican Maduro wrapper found on 5 Vegas Series ‘A’ has been compared to the dark medio tiempo wrapper found on the famous Partagas Black Label.
This robust cigar is big on flavor and light on the wallet making it perfect for the everyday smoker and novice alike. It provides the perfect balance between body and flavor and will smoke right down to the nub. The complexity of this medium to full-bodied blend comes from its three country filler, which has been aged for four years to give it a perfect balance. With a little more flavor then its original Red Label predecessor, this cigar delivers on the quality and value that smokers have come to expect from 5 Vegas Cigars.

Covered in a Costa Rican maduro wrapper, it is a very good looking stick – almost like a tasty dark chocolate bar. The 5 Vegas Series ‘A’ had zero imperfections – no blemishes, no soft spots. It is silky smooth and the box-press finish ergonomically conforms between the fingers. Upon cutting the cap and lighting, you are greeted with a punch of spice and peppers. Definitely starts out as a medium-full bodied cigar with great flavors.
The maduro wrapper combined with the 3-country long-filler blend gives you enough heat without being overpowering. The aftertaste lingers long adding to the enjoyment of this great cigar. Only complaint so far was that the draw felt just a smidge tight – no big cloud of white smoke. The burn is even and the white ash holds firm.
A flavor change does occur as you transition into the second third of the cigar to a more sweet tasting chocolatey flavor. It becomes more of a medium-bodied cigar at this point. The burn and draw remain consistent as in the first third. Bit of a bummer as I was hoping the draw would open up.
Overall, this was a great cigar with the draw being the only minor complaint. The strength of the cigar does transition from a med/full to a medium. The price point of this cigar makes it an excellent choice for those bargain hunters. It is a must-try for any 5 Vegas fan.
