If you enjoy Cain by Oliva but wish it had a bit more power, then Cain ‘F’ is your answer. Considered one of the best new releases in 2009, Cain provides substantial flavor and body as it contains 100% Nicaraguan ligero long leaves from Condega, Jalapa and Esteli while maintaining a smooth character due to its triple-fermented tobacco. This blend was rated ’92′ by Cigar Insider.
The Oliva family has left a substantial mark on the cigar industry over the past five years. As one of the world’s most reputable cigar makers, their highly rated blends can only be found at the most reputable tobacconists throughout the world. In 2007, Oliva received an unprecedented 94 rating from Cigar Aficionado for their Serie ‘V’ line, which was also designated as the top new release that year.
The newer Cain ‘F’ cigar is a bold new Nicaraguan blend, a stout addition to the family which delivers a full-throttle array of heady, satisfying flavors. Draped in a thick, dark brown Habano leaf and stuffed with an extra-generous dose of Nicaraguan ligeros, Cain ‘F’ is nothing if not full-bodied. Yet it’s unexpectedly smooth and balanced with a deep, rich flavor profile featuring notes of spices, earth, leather and coffee. Slow-burning, complex and robust, Cain ‘F’ sets a new benchmark in extra-full-bodied hand made
cigars.

There was a big roar when Sam Leccia from Nub Cigars announced his brand new line of Cain F cigars. It was touted as being “super fuerte” so I was excited to get my hands on one. Wasn’t disappointed upon initial lighting. Started out strong and I thoroughly enjoyed the kick of spice/pepper flavors from the ligero fillers. But, it’s once powerful presence shortly mellowed out after the first third. A little bit of a bummer but still an enjoyable cigar. |
