La Flor Dominicana Ligero is a robust cigar; perfect for the aficionado who prefers complex, full-bodied blends that offer a bold and rich character.
Produced in the Dominican Republic under the supervision of Litto Gomez, La Flor Dominicana Ligero is this brands first full-bodied blend. Ligero is the term used to describe the leaves growing towards the top of each individual tobacco plant.
These leaves receive the most sunlight and nutrients, allowing for a strong, robust flavor. Due to the impeccable construction and complex flavors this cigar produces, Cigar Insider awarded La Flor Dominicana Ligero a ’91′ rating!
This cigar is full-flavored and full-bodied, offering a firm draw, which expels a creamy smoke that leaves a peppery flavor in the aftertaste. The Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper adds some spicy notes to the blend but also conceals all Dominican filler, creating a perfectly balanced flavor.
The finish is long and the aroma is reminiscent of cedar mixed with toasted almonds. Although La Flor Dominicana Ligero is very strong, it is still a smooth cigar that is highly enjoyable, especially after a hearty meal.

Although I classified it as a full-bodied smoke, it is on the lower end of that spectrum. However, it is still one of the best cigars out there. Great flavors – a tasty treat that makes you beg for more. Unless, of course, you’re bold enough to move up to the LFD Double Ligero. |
