Welcome to bluenotecigars.com. "Blue Note" is a famous jazz club located in New York City so it was a no-brainer to name the website based on my top-two interests: cigars and jazz music. My name is Johnny Mixx; not my real name but my alter ego. I’ve been a cigar enthusiast for over 15 years now and elated to see the increased growth in our cigar community. I remember a time when it was next to impossible to purchase the cigars that "you" wanted due to the lack of retail stores. I truly believe that the internet is the next best invention since the TV remote control with GPS a close third.

With the advent of the internet, not only has it become easier to purchase cigars; but, to also learn and educate yourself on cigars. By simply entering a google search, you can now retrieve all the information you’ll need on any cigar of your choice. You can use this information to decide what cigars you purchase based on reviews, price or brand.

As far as cigar reviews, I believe that it’s 100% personal preference. With that in mind, take the cigar reviews on this site with a grain of salt. They must be combined with your personal preference. How do you know your preference? I would say by the strength of the cigar. You truly won’t know until you had your first one. Start out with a mild cigar. If the cigar tastes a little too bland, move up to a medium-body cigar. If that’s still to bland for you, move up to the full-body cigars.
