When Cusano cigars first opened for business over ten years ago, they were a small fish in a big pond. Since the Xclusivo was the first premium cigar made by Cusano, it is considered by many aficionados to be the blend that paved the way for Cusano’s unprecedented success in the cigar industry. The Xclusivo’s use of a double fermented Connecticut / Habano hybrid wrapper gives it a unique creamy sweetness coupled with rich leathery notes and a long finish. Unfortunately, this wrapper is both a blessing and a curse. While it helped build a remarkable blend, it is only available in extremely limited quantities. Due to a lack of wrapper, this cigar was forced into retirement back in 2004, but has resurfaced in 2007 after Cusano allowed three years to age and ferment additional tobaccos. |
