The Fonseca line features a range of sizes that are hand rolled in the Dominican Republic and offer a pleasant mild flavor and body. It is everything an aficionado has come to expect from a great Dominican cigar.

It takes some of the most experienced hands in the business to make a cigar that has deep roots in Cuban history and Manuel Quesada by all rights is considered one of the most knowledgeable tobacco men in the Dominican Republic. He was the first to blend the famous Romeo y Julieta brand outside of the Dominican Republic and today has a portfolio filled with highly rated brands.

The Fonseca line is one of Manuel’s most noteworthy accomplishments. This mild cigar is very well balanced and features a golden Connecticut shade wrapper that encases a combination of creamy Dominican fillers.

Fonseca Habana Seleccion is a rare commemorative cigar that is only available at Cigar.com and small number of select retailers worldwide. Blended by master blender Manuel Quesada, Habana Seleccion is a smooth and flavorful medium-bodied blend.

Fonseca is one of Cuba’s oldest and most popular brands, which for the past four decades has also called the Dominican Republic home. Today the brand is in the hands of cigar legend Manuel Quesada who has expanded the borders of many famous Cuban brands such as the Romeo y Julieta. Quesada is considered, by many aficionados, to be the finest blender in the Dominican Republic and his Fonseca line is considered one of his crowning achievements.

While most cigar enthusiasts are probably most familiar with the Fonseca Series ‘F’ and Fonseca Vintage Lines, Habana Seleccion is one of the rarest additions to the Fonseca family. It takes a special cigar to commemorate the rich history of the Fonseca name. Before Habana Seleccion debuted in 2006, Quesada started the blending process three years prior, selecting each wrapper and binder leaf by hand. Fonseca Habana Seleccion features a Cuban Criollo “98 wrapper and Cuban-seed binder, both grown in Nicaragua. These choice leaves encase a filler that is aged for at least 5 years.
