| Very rare and available to only a small handful of suppliers, the La Aurora 100 Anos is one of the highest rated brands ever made. Each 100 Anos utilizes only tobacco that is grown and rolled in the Dominican Republic.
When the Dominican Republic’s oldest cigar brand turns 100 years old, you know you can expect great things. For over a century, La Aurora cigars have been gracing humidors all over the world, and with good reason. Rolled in the Dominican Republic’s oldest factory, the cigar has evolved and survived because of its reputation for consistency, quality, and value. The La Aurora 100 Anos (100 years) pays tribute to La Aurora’s time in the business. In 2004, it was rated the 3rd best cigar for that year by Cigar Aficionado Magazine. The secret to the 100 Anos blend is in its wrapper. Growing wrapper tobacco in the Dominican Republic is nearly impossible given the agricultural difficulties, but those growers who succeed in making it, are rewarded with the most flavorful wrapper in the world. The La Aurora 100 Anos has a Corojo seed Dominican wrapper that covers mostly Corojo fillers making it one of the worlds only cigars to use 100% Dominican Tobacco. Only 300,000 cigars were ever produced. These are among some of the rarest cigars ever made. Get them while you can. |

The La Aurora 1495 had a tough act to follow. The year prior to its release, La Aurora debuted its famous 100 Anos blend which scored as one of the top 3 cigars tasted in 2004 by Cigar Aficionado magazine. However, the 1495 is clearly up to the challenge. This Dominican hand rolled premium features an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper that seals a Dominican filler which is grown from both Corojo and Ligero seeds. This combination lends to a very complex medium to full-bodied blend that is constantly changing over the course of the cigar. La Aurora is rolled in the oldest factory in the Dominican Republic. In 1495, Columbus first landed in the Dominican Republic, founding the city of Santiago de los Caballeros. This new legendary blend from La Aurora commemorates this historical event that marked the beginning of one of the largest cigar capitals in the world. The 1495 has earth and leather aromas and a long toasty finish. |
